Introducing Dynamic Datatables
Dynamic Datatables can be used for bulk inline editing of records in PSQuote objects, standard Salesforce objects or custom objects. Now users can edit quote data more quickly with less clicks.
Some possible uses for dynamic datatables include guided scoping, quote milestone editing, reactivity for ‘split UI’, quantity based pricing, parametric estimation, and many more!

Example above – Dynamic Datatable with ‘Split View’
You can also enable reactivity between datatables. The example below shows reactivity between Quote Lines and Quote Labor. Based on the Quote Line you select in the first table, you will see the related child Quote Labor records.

Inline editing & Bulk edit multiple records. You can also enable reactivity between multiple datatables. The example above shows Quote Labor records (table 2) based on the Quote Line selected (table 1)
The Dynamic Datatable is a flexible component that can be used in any Lightning Web Component (LWC) or Screen Flow. If there is a need to edit data outside of the standard salesforce record pages, list views and PSQuote managed package LWCs, you can now use the Dynamic Datatables for a wide variety of applications.
The example below shows a table of records from a custom object.

With Dynamic Datatables, you can now bulk edit records in custom objects, which unlocks a variety of flexible services quoting scenarios
The Dynamic Datatable provides inline editing and column sorting which the standard Salesforce screen flow data table does not currently supports. This feature also supports rendering JSON data in a datatable, and more flexibility in configuring columns than the standard Salesforce Screen Flow datatable. Here’s how it’s giving a better user experience:
Dynamic Datatables Provide an Enhanced User Experience
Rich Interface: The Dynamic Datatable provides a more intuitive and interactive way for users to engage with their data. Rather than navigating through standard salesforce record pages, users can sort columns, filter records, and search for specific information, making data exploration more efficient and user-friendly.
Customizable Display: The component allows for greater flexibility in how data is presented. Users can adjust column widths, wrap or clip text, and customize the overall appearance to suit their specific needs.
Advanced Selection Options: The Dynamic Datatable supports both multi-select (checkboxes) and single-select (radio buttons) modes, giving users more control over how they interact with records.
Inline Editing: Users can make changes directly within the table, streamlining the data update process and improving productivity.

Easily configure columns and datatable behavior in Flow
Dynamic Datatables Are Versatile & Admin Friendly
Broad Applicability: The Dynamic Datatable can be seamlessly integrated into any Screen Flow or Lightning Web Component, making it a versatile tool for various use cases across the platform.
Object Flexibility: The component supports PSQuote Managed Package objects, standard Salesforce objects, custom objects, and even Apex-Defined objects, providing extensive compatibility with different data structures.
Clicks Not Code: If you need a data table / grid-like UI, you can use the Dynamic Datatables in a Screen Flow to modify records in PSQuote. This avoids the need to develop a custom Lightning Web Component (LWC). This simplifies PSQuote maintenance and unlocks new capabilities for viewing / editing data in a grid-like UI.
LOE Schedule – Grand Totals by Week
You can now see Total Hours by Week on the LOE Schedule tab.

Enhanced Visibility: Provides users with a clear breakdown of weekly total hours by quote line, making it easier to monitor and manage workloads.
Improved Decision Making: identify trends and allocate resources more effectively by visualizing weekly effort distribution.
Custom LOE Allocation Methods
You can now implement custom LOE Allocation methods thru Flow and/or Apex code.

Example above of custom Allocation method options implemented via Flow override (Note: this is an example to illustrate that you can now configure a variety of allocation methods thru Flow logic)
Example Use Cases:
- Rounding by multiplier factor (round each week to nearest 4, 8, 20, 40 hr increments)
- Reverse fill
- Bell curve (Flow + Apex)
- Managed Ramp
- And many more!!!
Benefits:
- Enhanced flexibility: custom allocation methods can now be implemented for LOE Schedules using Flow and Apex
- Improved resource management: allows for more precise allocation of hours across different time periods. This supports better project planning and resource utilization
- Increased productivity: Less manual data entry
- Better visualization: provides a clear view of how hours are distributed across weeks
- Customizable multipliers: ability to set multipliers for hour distribution allows for more nuanced resource planning
- Reverse fill option: adds another layer of flexibility
Reactive Quote Reload
Admin users can now specify key fields that, when modified, will automatically trigger the Quote page to refresh.
Example: if the ‘Is Quote Locked’ field is changed on the Quote, the page components will auto-refresh.
Benefits:
- Real-Time Updates – changes made to critical fields will automatically refresh the quote page
- Enhanced Accuracy – minimize errors and improve the reliability of your data.
- Streamlined Workflow – Simplifies the quoting process, less clicks when editing your quotes
How to Enable: Add fields to the new ‘Reactive Quote Reload Fields’ Field Set on the ‘Professional Service Quote’ object.
Overridable Copy Task Hours to LOE
The ‘Copy Task to LOE Schedule’ feature now supports for custom logic & math to the Sync to LOE schedules.
Benefits:
- Increased flexibility: can now override and customize the Sync to LOE logic, allowing for tailored solutions that better fit specific customer use cases.
- Enhanced scalability: can handle a large number of batch jobs and higher data volumes
- Improved resource management: By allowing customization of the LOE logic, teams can more accurately allocate resources schedules.
Looking Ahead to Spring ’25 + (Safe Harbor) – AI (Agentforce) Use Cases & much more
The PSQuote team is actively working on Agentforce (AI) R&D and pilot use cases for PSQuote (Safe Harbor).
If you are interested in seeing some of this work in progress and discussing the AI (Agentforce) roadmap & possible AI use cases in more detail, please contact the PSQuote team to schedule a working session to discuss further.
